১। সংক্ষিপ্ত শিরোনাম এবং প্রবর্তন
(১) এই আইন আয়কর আইন, ২০২৩ নামে অভিহিত হইবে।
(২) ইহা অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হইবে।

(1) This Act may be called the Income Tax Act, 2023.
(2) It shall come into force immediately.
In Bangla: আইনটির অফিসিয়াল নাম হল "আয়কর আইন, 2023"। এই আইনের বিধানগুলি ১ জুলাই ২০২৩ থেকে প্রযোজ্য হবে৷ সুতরাং, এই তারিখের পরে উদিত যেকোন আয়কর সংক্রান্ত বিষয়গুলি এই আইনে নির্ধারিত নির্দেশিকা অনুসরণ করবে৷
In English: The official name of the Act is "Income Tax Act, 2023". The provisions of this Act shall come into force from 1 July 2023. Therefore, any income tax matters arising after this date shall follow the guidelines laid down in this Act.
1. Short title and commencement :
(1) This Ordinance may be called the Income-tax Ordinance, 1984.
(2) It shall come into force on the first day of July, 1984.
